Short-interval scheduling and control for mining operations
XAOS schedules detailed tasks and manages the employees and equipment needed to execute them, in a multi-user distributed environment. It automates much of short-term scheduling through rule-based, automated task generation — while still letting users add ad-hoc tasks quickly when needed.
The interface provides Gantt charts covering orders, tasks, tasks by active location, resource allocations, team makeup, and resource load, with drag-and-drop assignment that highlights preferences and availability. A built-in rostering tool manages employee rotations directly, or shift assignments can be received from third-party systems via the integration API.
Super users can configure reference data, system settings, and rules directly within XAOS, alongside user and interface administration. A built-in report writer supports configurable reporting, with data also available for extraction to third-party data marts and warehouses.
The XAOS Mobile app allows operators, supervisors and inspectors in the field to view allocated tasks, equipment and locations and update status, add notes, log variances and update task related information (progress, usage of key consumables, etc.)
Enterprise-grade features — fine-grained user authorization, transaction auditing, and LDAP/Active Directory integration for user and role assignment — allow XAOS to be deployed in any enterprise environment. A message-based integration API supports near real-time updates from third-party systems (orders, tasks, employee clock-in, maintenance), and a mobile API (WebSockets/REST) enables field applications for task status and assignment.
XAOS is embedded and integrated in the Epiroc enterprise suite under the Work Manager brand.
